Our Dufour 385 comes under the Ocean-going design category (category A) and is designed to withstand the severest conditions. But, as the manual emphasize, the sailing capability is equally dependent on the skills of the crew and their physical capacities. (Thus, there are quite clear limitations on what conditions we are seeking.)
The boat has construction no. 2 and is the boat presenteted on the Paris Boat Show in november 2003 and the boat appearing in advertising material for the model.

The boat is equiped with Raymarine systems including ST6001 SmartPilot, ST 60 instruments, E-80 chartplotter, AIS and radar.
The electronical installations include a wireless network and an GPS/GSM burglar alarm and surveillance system that send an alarm to the crews mobile phones and even enabels the crew and one person i Norway to monitor the activity on board at all times and shut down the engine where ever the boat is.
